Is mandatories a word anyone else uses?

When he knocked over the entire spice cabinet, he had two options and several mandatories.

Mandatory. Cleaning up. Of course, he couldn’t leave this everywhere. He would have to restock some of nana’s spices too. What a waste.

Options. He could dump out all of the stew, because it had too much of everything in it now. Or. Or. He could very possibly maybe… scoop off the top. And serve the rest.

He skimmed the surface until it didn’t look so bad. Then he put his spoon in and had a taste.

Eh. He’d had worse. It wasn’t ruined.

He served the stew.
